Description: Learn everything you need to know about blogging in this four-week intensive. This course will cover: setting up your blog, choosing a focus and design, writing great blog posts, and using Twitter and Facebook to promote your blog and drive traffic to your website. We will talk about best blogging practices, privacy issues, time management, and search engine optimization. All students will have the opportunity to write several blog posts and record an audio or video blog post. Tea and snacks included. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Instructor Bio: Meghan Ward is an award-winning author and book editor who blogs at Writerland.com. In addition to her work online, her book reviews, personal essays, and news stories have appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, 7×7 magazine, San Francisco magazine, the San Francisco Examiner, The Oakland Tribune, and the anthology It’s So You: 35 Women Write About Personal Expression Through Fashion and Style. She is currently at work on a memoir titled Paris On Less Than $10,000 a Day.

Description: Ready to take your blog to the next level? In this 5-Week Blogging Workshop, every student will submit a blog post for critique EVERY WEEK, including one video blog (vlog) post. In addition, we will discussSEO (search engine optimization), Google Analytics, monetizing your blog, and making the most of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google+. Requirement: Students must have taken Blogging for Beginners or must already have an active blog. Tea and snacks included. Don’t miss out on this chance to broaden your audience!
